Everstride Review and GIVEAWAY

I promise there is a giveaway at the end.

When Everstride offered products for review on Twitter, I knew I had to get in on this!  I e-mailed Team Everstride and they shipped me a box of products to try right away (for the record, this is the fastest I have ever received products for review, I think it took 3 days max).  The box included:

Foot Treatment, Cooling Muscle Balm, Anti Chafing Sports Stick, and Facial Defense

The first thing I tried was the Cooling Muscle Balm because I was in the midst of my piriformis injuries.  I would rub it all over my derriere and go to work.  As Emily observed, I had a tingly secret.

I’ll be honest, this is probably my least favorite of the products that Everstride sent me. There’s nothing wrong with it, it just didn’t seem that different from the Icy-Hot roll-on I already own.  If it was cheaper, I might consider throwing it in with my order, but at $16.50 and only being available online, I can’t see myself buying this.  That being said, I’ll definitely use it up because it’s a good product.

The next thing I tried was actually the Facial Defense.  I used it in place of my normal morning moisturizer.  It’s very thick and creamy, so I thought it would make me breakout.  Surprisingly, it didn’t bother my extremely sensitive skin at all.

My only complaint with this product is that it doesn’t have SPF. My normal morning moisturizer is SPF 15, which I actually think is too low. I would probably replace my Origins moisturizer with this if it had sunscreen, but since it doesn’t I’ll probably use it up and move on. I love the way this feels on my skin, though and it gives my skin a nice dewy look without being greasy. It retails for $16.50.

I finally got around to trying the Anti Chafing Sports Stick next. I LOVE this product!  It is WAY less greasy than BodyGlide and I think it has less of an odor.  This stays on for my entire run but washes right off in the shower.

Body Glide pretty obviously wasn't working for me. Gross.

At $15.99, I believe this is a bit more expensive than BodyGlide, but totally worth it to me! I will be ordering this from now on for all my chafing needs (so gross).  It also seems like it will last me forever.  I just wish they also had a mini size that I could keep in my belt during half marathons and really long runs.

Finally is my absolute favorite product, the Pro Therapy Foot Treatment.  I have disgusting feet, but I never really bothered with lotion because I am lazy and I didn’t feel like my body lotion did anything for my feet.  I was getting close to cracked heels and the skin was actually peeling off the bottom of my feet (don’t judge me, haters) before this stuff showed up.

I am in love. I now refuse to leave my house in the morning without putting this stuff on. Foot cream is definitely a luxury for a poor graduate student, but at $18.99 for a good size bottle, I’m sure I’ll manage to scrounge up the money. I still have plenty of everything left and I’ve had the products for at least a month (it’s been so long, I kind of forgot when I got them).

Wow, did you get through all of that?  I always worry product reviews are boring for you all.  If that’s the case, do let me know.  Anywhoodle, Everstride is available online only.  Because I think you are all peachy keen, Everstride gave me a discount code for my readers, so if you decide to buy anything use the code “happyfeet”.  Personally, I’m eyeing up the chafe stick/foot treatment combo pack, but that’s just me.

Michael at Everstride also said I could giveaway a foot treatment to one of my awesome readers!  To enter:

I’m not even going to ask where that chafing was on your body. 🙂
I’ll admit, I’m a BodyGlide user, but that is more out of necessity than anything else. I’d love to try Everstride’s Anti-Chafing sport stick.

Awesome review and giveaway!!! I’m all over the foot cream and chafe stick – I may have to consider that combo pack as well…unless I win – then I can just buy the stick. Hehehe.

I’m going to guess – inner thigh.

  9. Pahla says:

I’m going to go with under/back of your arm, just because that’s one of the places I usually chafe and I don’t think you’re showing us a picture of your underboob (the other place I always chafe).

  10. Pahla says:

Of course I follow you on the Twitter.

  11. Pahla says:

I’m most interested in the foot treatment, but would also like to try out the anti-chafe stick.

  23. emily says:

Oh the chafing picture! I was so curious when I saw it and now I have to GUESS where it’s at? Hmm…I’m going to go with the only place I seem to get chafing (until the longer runs sneak up on me at least) and that’s the inner part of my upper arm, where it rubs against my tank.

  24. emily says:

And also, I follow you on Twitter (DUH)

  25. emily says:

    I now follow ever_stride

  35. elohorn says:

great review! that made me want the anti-chafing stick.

i always feel thwarted by my inner thighs rubbing together when i try to run, so i’m going to guess that is also the location of your photo’d injury :]
